These terms cover cleaning and organizing services from Gig Economy Crew ("we", "us") in Chicago, Illinois. By requesting a time on geccrew.com, by phone, or by text, you agree to them.
When you pick a time on the site you are asking for it. A person reviews every request and confirms by text or email, usually within the hour. Nothing is scheduled, and nothing is owed, until you receive that confirmation.
Prices on the site are starting prices for a typical space. The final price for your job is confirmed with you before the crew arrives, based on the size and condition of the space and any photos or notes you gave us. If the crew finds the job is materially different from what was described, they will tell you before doing extra work, and you may decline it.
Cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the confirmed time. Inside 24 hours, or if the crew cannot get in at the agreed time, a fee of 50% of the confirmed price applies. If we have to cancel, you owe nothing and we will offer the next available time.
You are responsible for giving the crew access at the confirmed time (keys, codes, a doorman, a slip number). Please put away valuables, firearms, and anything you would not want moved. Our crew will not move heavy furniture, work at height beyond a step stool, handle biohazards, or clean areas they consider unsafe.
If something on the agreed checklist was missed, tell us within 48 hours and we come back and fix it at no charge. That is the remedy; we do not offer refunds for work that has been done.
We are insured and bonded. If our crew damages something, tell us within 48 hours with a photo, and we will repair, replace, or reimburse it at a fair value. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, items that were already loose or broken, or damage from products you asked us to use. Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Payment is due when the job is done, by card on the invoice link, by transfer, or however we agreed. Recurring plans are billed after each visit. Invoices unpaid after 14 days may be charged a late fee of 1.5% per month and future visits may be paused.
Everyone who enters your space works for us: background-checked, trained on our checklist, and covered by our insurance. Please do not hire our crew members directly for the same work within 12 months of a job; if you want a specific person, ask us and we will make it happen.
Our crew takes before-and-after photos to document the work. They are shown to you and used internally. We publish a photo only with your permission and never with identifying details. See the Privacy Policy.
If you opted in, we text you about your job. Reply STOP to opt out. See the SMS terms.
The site is provided as is. We do our best to keep openings accurate, but a time shown as open is not a promise until confirmed. Do not use the site to send abusive, false, or automated requests.
Illinois law applies. If we have a disagreement, tell us first and we will try to fix it directly. Anything that cannot be fixed that way goes to the courts of Cook County, Illinois, or to small claims court.
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. The terms in force when your job was confirmed are the ones that apply to that job.
